Wanna contribute/become a staff member at Crescendo?

Maintaining a fansite in general is a lot~~ of work and even more so when you wanna add stuff that really isn't available in English. I can barely read and understand Japanese, and even with me using an online dictionary, I can only get so far. XP So any help that I can get is very, very much appreciated indeed. ^^

I'm currently looking for help for my La Corda D'Oro fansite, which is pretty obvious that it's my biggest and most popular site. I don't mind if you want to be a volunteer or an actual staff member, just let me know which when you apply.

EDIT (November 13, 2008): I sent out a group e-mail to all my current staff and to everyone that posted here, if I haven't already, so that's up to date. I have a TON of things to sort out with this site in general (like moving it to it's new home on my domain, Aternal Abyss [dot] net; the new link for the fansite: here), so hopefully, I can get it all straighten out ASAP as it'd be nice to have the site a bit more active and such. It doesn't help that college has me goin' crazy-ish this semester and I know next semester's going to be soo~ much worse too... Gah... what was I think when I decided to take 20 credits next semester...? -____-;;;;

Requirements (general; specific ones have additional requirements):
- Whether you want to volunteer or want to be an actual staff member, PLEASE and I mean PLEASE don't decide to join the staff and then just go completely MIA without any notice whatsoever, like I've had happen before. For those who want to volunteer, it doesn't apply as much, but if you want to contribute something and tell me that you will, don't just never send it to me.
- Please don't take forever on something that I have assigned. If you need more time, please contact me and give me a valid excuse about it. I'm usually pretty lenient anyway, but DON'T push it. (Ex. Taking a month on translating something that's only a few lines long)


Game screencapper:
I can get a few screencaps, but not many, as I'm having trouble getting the endings. I'm trying my best, but even knowing the basic idea behind the game, I don't know enough Japanese to get by all of it. ^^;

I can read and translate your scans for you, the profiles are OK, but what do you mean by Magazines scans ? do you mean you want to fanscan the manga or you want some info concerning the serie published in other magazines than Lala ?

Yeah, I haven't been there in quite some time, but I'll check it now. I've been meaning to update this page as well as it is kinda outdated. ^^;;; With magazine scans, the manga's already been licensed, so I'm not that interested in getting the manga itself translated. But, I'm talking about the scans that talk about the series and such. I'll tell you more on animesuki.

I noticed that the Manga Version sections of the Anime pages were unavailable due to you not having the manga. And I'm pretty up-to-date with the manga when it comes out in North America. I was wondering if you would like to have me do those for you as the English manga catches up to the anime. If you'd rather do those yourself, it's perfectly fine. And I'd happily provide a sample for Episode 1, if you requested one.

I'm sorry it's such a small offer, but I found something I could contribute to the site and felt inclined to do so. Anything that might help. n_n;

By the by, Crescendo is such a lovely site and great La Corda d'Oro resource. Please, keep up the good work. <3

Sure a sample would be quite helpful. Just send it to my e-mail. ^^ And I wouldn't mind doing them myself, but... I don't exactly have my manga with me as I'm not going to be home for like 6 weeks. And... I know how much of a bum I can be as I haven't really worked on much information related things lately and I have up to the current manga out, other than 4, which I may not get 'til August, so I'd be more than happy to have help. XP

I can help with proof reading, as well as episode summaries. My Japanese is definitly not good enough for me to help with translations/etc, but I can definitly help improve the quality of the English, and type up some fun things. (I suppose as a staff, eh?)

May I also suggest your site gives out scripts for each episode? I was considering doing that for my fansite ever so long ago (I have a Star Ocean 2 fansite), and I still think it would be a good idea.

Hm, scripts? That's something different, as I've never really seen a fansite have that. I'll admit that it'll take a lot of work to do those, indeed. Well, if there are scripts of the episodes, are the gonna be in the normal script format or will there be pictures to go with them?

That's definitely helpful, though do you have an e-mail that actually works since I tend to do group e-mails for the whole staff and I also do individual e-mails for staff members as well? As soon as I have that, I can send you more information.

Hey sweets, My name is Gracie, I'm a big fan of you're site and I was wondering if you'd like my help? I'm good with HTML and I've also seen all of the episodes and read all of the manga [that I could] of La Corda d'Oro. I would have included you in my mass e-mail to everyone that I haven't replied to, but you didn't list an e-mail so I couldn't. Out of all the positions, I think translating would be the largest area that'd need to be filled. I placed you on the translator and episode summarizer lists for now. I'm really sorry that I didn't reply sooner (been busy with school and my interest for La Corda has kinda diminished from what used to be a virtual obsession), so if you're still interested, let me know. ^^

Anyway, I was trying to download La Corda D'oro media stuff and I used google's search engine. But, it seems that google thinks that your site is hosting "malicious software"

I can't really access it, and I'm really scared of viruses.

Will it be fixed? Or is there someother place where I can download the music?
I tried [info]la_corda_doro But, they don't use their tags and memories at all. So, it is hard to find :(

I'm currenlty an architecture student, but despite the well-known hectic schedule we have, i've got a lot of time when it comes to writing.... I also write stories in Fanfiction.com which revolves around our favorite anime La'Corda D'oro.. I can do summaries (long or short) maximum of 3 days and minimum is a day...
I tried e-mailing you but it seems I can't get through... It keeps saying "sending failed"....
