Wanna contribute/become a staff member at Crescendo?

Maintaining a fansite in general is a lot~~ of work and even more so when you wanna add stuff that really isn't available in English. I can barely read and understand Japanese, and even with me using an online dictionary, I can only get so far. XP So any help that I can get is very, very much appreciated indeed. ^^
I'm currently looking for help for my La Corda D'Oro fansite, which is pretty obvious that it's my biggest and most popular site. I don't mind if you want to be a volunteer or an actual staff member, just let me know which when you apply.
Requirements (general; specific ones have additional requirements):
- Whether you want to volunteer or want to be an actual staff member, PLEASE and I mean PLEASE don't decide to join the staff and then just go completely MIA without any notice whatsoever, like I've had happen before. For those who want to volunteer, it doesn't apply as much, but if you want to contribute something and tell me that you will, don't just never send it to me.
- Please don't take forever on something that I have assigned. If you need more time, please contact me and give me a valid excuse about it. I'm usually pretty lenient anyway, but DON'T push it. (Ex. Taking a month on translating something that's only a few lines long)
Game screencapper:I can get a few screencaps, but not many, as I'm having trouble getting the endings. I'm trying my best, but even knowing the basic idea behind the game, I don't know enough Japanese to get by all of it. ^^;EDIT (June 21, 2007): I was able to get all of the HQ screenshots from
shikumo for the first game, but not the second one as it's only for the PS2. I do have the scans from the Seiso Gakuin Photo Album because I did buy the Premium Box for the 2nd game, but the ones straight from the game are much better quality. If anyone can somehow get them on the computer, that'd be quite helpful. ^^
Translator:
I've got scans that have information on them that could be quite beneficial to the site, but since I can barely read the scans, I can't translate them myself. ^^;
Here's what I need translated:
- Magazine scans- Profiles (from volumes 3 on)
lucathia_rykatu's already translated them)
- Song lyrics (romaji and translation; do note that you'd also be the one who type up the kanji up as well. ^^; )
- La Corda Memorial Book (
lucathia_rykatu's already translated Kazuki's and is working on Azuma's. I'm currently typing up the kanji for Len's, but I highly doub Hat that I can translate much of it.)
- Mio Colore Artbook (I'm really interested in the interview with Yuki Kure in particular, but I'm open on the rest getting translated too perhaps.)
Requirements:
- Is decent or fluent in Japanese. (both reading and understanding it)
- Has decent English skills.
Episode Summaries:
So far~ Up to episode 4 has been done, though for episode 4, I only have a long summary done and not a short one. Note that all 25 episodes have been released RAW, while only up to 14 has been subbed currently.
- Episodes 5-25 (long summaries)
- Episodes 4-25 (short summaries)
Requirements:
- Plenty of time as these take a while to write. I don't care how long your long summary is as those have a lot of details, but the short summary shouldn't be longer than a page, 1.5 pages is the max for that.
- Is decent or fluent in English (Japanese is optional but...) you can request to watch the episodes with or without subtitles. But do note that if you want to watch them with subs, only up to 14 has been subbed to this point. Though even if you're decent in Japanese, the summary MUST be written in English as the fansite IS in English.
- Has decent grammar skills. I don't expect perfection (that's why there are QCers), but it shouldn't be so grammatically bad that the QCer will get a headache from trying to read it.Proofreader/Quality Checker (QC): [FILLED/CLOSED]
I used to have two proofreaders, but both of them left because they were no longer interested in the series, so I'm definitely in need for them.Requirements:
- Fluent in English (like either it was your native language or you're majoring in it).
- Must have good grammar skills (ties in the first one, but yeah...).
EDIT: July 01, 2007 - Okay, I've got 3 new QCers, so hopefully that will be enough to suffice. :P I will open this again if any of them leave or if I have a great need for more.
Think that's it for now. ^^ If you're interested, please leave a message here or e-mail me (icerydragon@hotmail.com) and I'll get back to ya as soon as possible.
